A few weeks ago, we got the opportunity to meet a Portland photographer named Emily Petri and her husband, and shoot with them at one of my favorite places in the winter- Trillium Lake! My husband and I had our Christmas card pictures taken there last year by Andie Avery Photography, and they turned out amazing. So when Emily said she wanted snow for the photo shoot, I knew that’s where I wanted to go!Read More
Last weekend Spencer and I checked off the first item on the fall bucket list! We went out to Hood River with two of our friends and both of our furry friends to check out the Hood River County Fruit Loop. The Fruit Loop is an organization that spotlights local farms, cideries, wineries, and fruit stands. There are 28 different members, and depending on the time of year you go, you can take advantage of their in season produce. One of the cool things about the loop is that no matter what season you go out to Hood River, you can have a different experience each time. In the spring, you can go see the fruit trees budding, in the summer there’s berries and lavender to pick, and in the fall, apples and pears are the main fare to pick.Read More
Anyone else a fan of the Halloweentown movies? I loved watching the series as a kid, and looked forward to when they would be on T.V. wow- two posts in one week! who am i? i was planning on updating my summer bucket list series at the end of each month, and hitting the highlights of each item. BUT this particular outing was such a fun day with my friends, i wanted to be able to share all of our experiences with you!
when i was originally creating my summer bucket list, my plan was to go to the lavender farm in hood river, because honestly i didn’t know there were other fields in the area! as this past weekend got closer, i saw on instagram that there was a field a little closer to where i live that was having a festival at the same time. even though i’m not the best with details, and had no idea what we were getting into, my friends kaeleigh, annie, and heidi all agreed to come with me to check it out! (i linked all of their instagram profiles if you click on their names 😀) we ended up going to the helvetia lavender farm and the first thing we all noticed was how friendly everyone was. From the parking attendants to the vendors, everyone made the day so smooth and enjoyable.Read More
