About 6 months into blogging, I met a Portland photographer, Shauna, through a giveaway, and started taking pictures with her and other Portland photographers. We have found some really fun places to take pictures in the city, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you! If you end up taking pictures at one of these places, tag me so I can see them! Enjoy!

This bridge is only used by TriMet public transit and pedestrians, so you can get amazing pictures without worrying about cars. I also took pictures on this bridge last summer when Spencer and I rode bikes across the bridge for a date night! The best way to access this bridge is to park by the Portland Opera (featured below), there’s 2 hour street parking right next to the bridge.

When I met Shauna at the bridge, this walkway by the Portland Opera caught my eye. I love the blue pillars, and especially how Karya framed these pictures! As you keep walking in front of the opera building, there’s great views of the river and bridges in the background.

This location is by far one of my favorites! I love the skyline in the background, and want to come back here in the spring or summer to take pictures again. This dock is closer to OMSI, but Shauna and I parked by Tilikum Crossing and walked along the path instead of moving our cars- it was only about a 10 minute walk!

If you live in Portland or are planning on visiting, I’m 99% sure you have heard of Voodoo Doughnuts. The location downtown is almost always busy, and although it also has a pink wall, there’s usually lots of people in front of it. This location is less busy, and has more opportunity for photos in their parking lot!

I loved the coast vibes at this park, without having to drive all the way out to the actual coast! We had a great shoot here in the fall, and this is another location I definitely want to shoot at again this spring!
Enjoy! I hope you get some great pictures and can explore more of the city!
