when i started this blog back in january, i had no idea what i was getting myself into. my friend annie helped me get started, as she was starting her blog as well, but around march, i realized there was so much more to know about blogging than i anticipated. i started researching different webinars and other educational article, but still felt overwhelmed and wished there was a group of people that i could get advice from.
in april, i saw something on instagram posted by liz (aka @palmettos_and_pineapples), that registration was open for style collective. the way she described it got me interested, because it sounded like everything i was looking for all in one. it combined the education i needed with the community i was looking for, and i was sold. immediately upon posting on instagram that i had joined this sisterhood, i was welcomed and encouraged by other women in the community.
style collective has not only given me the tools to grow my instagram and blog accounts, it has also given me a community of women who uplift and support each other. no matter how large or small your instagram or blog influence is, there are other people who will give you advice and support when you need it. the style collective facebook group has been the biggest source of this for me, because it’s an easy way to get feedback and connect with other bloggers. the investment of $10/month has absolutely returned itself in boosting my confidence and knowledge to make my blog the best it can be. annie spano, the founder of style collective, also has a weekly podcast where she is motivation and inspiration through interviews and sharing her own experience. If you’re on the fence about joining, listen to this episode, and I think you’ll see how her enthusiasm has made this community so successful.
if you have any questions, please check out the website via my affiliate link here, or reach out to me on instagram or by email. i don’t take giving recommendations on how you spend your money lightly, but this is something that has seriously changed my blog and how i’m approaching this journey. annie is taking 2019 off from hosting events, but i’m hoping in 2020 to be able to attend one in person.
thanks for reading a little bit about this great community, and i hope to have a few more #scsisters in the pacific northwest!
